Bench Staff Instructions

Bench Staff

Teams have a variety of staff helping them for the season. Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers, Trainers are all required staff for an approved roster.

All bench staff must register with FFGWHA for the season. Go to www.ffghwa.com/registration and proceed with the steps.

Things you need to register:

Hockey Canada Account https://account.spordle.com/

This is where you can find the coaches training and see the training/qualifications you have taken in the past. Once you have a login, search for the clinics or training you need here https://register.hockeycanada.ca/clinics It does not have to be a OWHA course. You can browse the different leagues and find a course available to you.

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders: Go to https://owha.respectgroupinc.com/ (any version from HNO or similar works as well)

Police Vulnerable Sector Check

All bench staff and other volunteers with FFGWHA must provide FFGWHA with a valid police check, including a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). A PVSC is valid for three years; however, a Declaration must be completed in for the years between the PVSC:

Year 1 - Valid PVSC

Year 2 - Declaration

Year 3 - Declaration

Year 4 - New PVSC required

The Declaration can be found on FFGWHA’s website under the Bench Staff tab • FFGWHA provides a letter that can be presented to the police department to get the police check done for volunteer positions.
